Stephanie Bice is a Republican congresswoman representing Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District, a role she has held since January 2021. A fourth-generation Oklahoman, Bice was born and raised in the district, which encompasses much of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. She is recognized for her focus on conservative principles and her dedication to serving the interests of her constituents.
Bice graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1995 with a degree in Marketing and International Business. Before entering public service, she worked extensively in the private sector, gaining experience in financial oversight, business strategy, and marketing. She contributed to her family’s technology company and later ran her own marketing business before becoming Vice President of Business Development at a digital marketing agency in Oklahoma City. Her background provides her with firsthand insight into the challenges faced by small business owners, shaping her economic policy perspectives.
In Congress, Bice serves on the House Armed Services and Science, Space, and Technology Committees, where she advocates for Oklahoma jobs, national security, and technological advancement. As a pro-life conservative, she has earned an A+ rating from the Susan B. Anthony List and an A rating from the National Rifle Association. She is also a member of the Republican Whip Team and served as Freshman Class President during her first year in office, underscoring her leadership within her party.
Before joining Congress, Bice served in the Oklahoma State Senate from 2014 to 2020. As Assistant Majority Floor Leader and Chair of the Senate Finance Committee, she played a key role in reforming the state’s alcohol laws, including modernizing beer and wine sales. Her legislative experience helped her build a reputation as a pragmatic problem-solver willing to tackle significant issues.
Bice lives in Edmond, Oklahoma, with her husband Geoffrey and their two daughters. They are active members of St. Eugene Catholic Church.
