  1. President Trump’s recent actions have indeed sparked significant controversy. His administration has initiated mass layoffs across various federal agencies, including the Department of Education, which has seen cuts to about half of its workforce. The layoffs have affected numerous agencies that Americans frequently interact with, such as the National Park Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Veterans Affairs, and many others.
The impact of these cuts is far-reaching. More than 1,300 public servants have lost their jobs, and local schools are expected to lose resources. This has raised concerns about the long-term effects on education and public services, with many fearing that the quality of these services will suffer as a result.
The Trump Administration’s actions have indeed raised concerns about judicial independence. Elon Musk, a senior advisor to President Trump, has called for the impeachment of federal judges and questioned their lifetime appointments. Vice President JD Vance has also made controversial statements on social media, asserting that judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.
The Trump Administration has also nominated individuals to senior positions at the Department of Justice who seem to have little regard for the separation of powers. Public officials ARE bound by court decisions. As Dick Durbin said in a recent statement “It isn’t only the executive branch that has threatened the independence of the judiciary. In the past month, three members of the House of Representatives have introduced articles of impeachment against federal judges—for no reason other than that they ruled against the Administration. These actions and comments constitute a clear and present danger to the separation of powers and our Constitution” (March 11, 2025) The judiciary has the final word.
Yes, there is waste and fraud in every corner of America, which is based on GREED. Although the Administrations’ attempts to undercover this waste and fraud, is unconventional and continues to hurt Americans, there is a better way. Additionally, what is the plan to once these agencies are dismantled? WE THE PEOPLE NEED AND WANT TO HEAR WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN AFTER ALL THE DESTRUCTION. How will funding be restored, Americans be supported and communities be safe from uncertainty. These concerns need to be discussed and brought to the PEOPLE. The Administration is not telling the entire story. Mary Miller needs to stop and think about her constituents and her state.
