Governor Lou Leon Guerrero is the current Democratic governor of Guam, serving since January 2019. Born on November 8, 1950, she has a background in nursing and finance. Before becoming governor, Leon Guerrero served in the Guam Legislature and was the president and CEO of the Bank of Guam. She is the first female governor of Guam and has focused on healthcare, economic development, and environmental issues during her tenure.
